June 20 1-3pm (Rain or Shine) Celebrate the Solstice!
Come view the sun! We will have solar telescopes to safely view sunspots and flares, a solar presentation in the classroom and craft activities for all ages.
July 11 Popcorn and a Movie! 7-9pm
Screening of “ Small Town Universe” a Greenbank WV Observatory movie with complementary popcorn.
Small Town Universe explores life in a remote town called Green Bank, West Virginia — defined by the National Radio Quiet Zone, where restrictions on wireless technology, like cell phones and Wi-Fi, to preserve the work of the Green Bank Telescope, which happens to be the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope.
