OBSERVATORY RENOVATION
Sept 14,2025 Update
The closet improvements are complete except for a few cosmetic touch ups and the new stairs to the dome are about 50% done. We have a concrete pad ready to receive the old telescope which will be mounted outside as a sculpture. The disassembly of the old telescope base continues - this is the heavy part the base weighs 2000ish pounds and does not fit through the door as is! Some more engineering to be done.
The new pier is delayed until the end of September. First light for new telescope is being planned for November. Stay tuned!!
We still need to raise $10,000 to complete the new stair construction and pay for for the mount and telescope. Your donation is greatly appreciated!!

Please purchase tickets ahead of time - they sell out quickly!!
If the weather is good we will have telescopes set up after the shows for star gazing.
